Teach First Programme 2013/14 to 2015/16

The Teaching Agency has announced that it will be issuing invitations to tender at the end of November 2012 for the National Initial Teacher Training Provider for the Teach First Programme 2013/14

to 2015/16. The Teach First Leadership Development Programme is an established route to Qualified Teacher Status and a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE).

NCG is a not for profit organisation wholly committed to developing the local communities we work in. We are interested in this opportunity and are looking for providers to register and become a pre-approved partner as part of our growing network. We are particularly keen to hear from regional and national providers who have:

  • Accredited status from the Secretary of State as an Initial teacher training provider in England;
  • The expertise, capacity and experience of delivering and managing residential programmes during the Summer;
  • The capacity to offer a PGCE that can be accredited to Masters level study (60 credits);
  • An ability to provide high quality, innovative approaches to teacher training; and
  • The ability and expertise to provide coaching and mentoring services for participants on the programme.

Our application process is always open; however, we anticipate that we may run mini competitions for pre-approved partners when the Teaching Agency issue the Invitation to Tender at the end of November 2012. As such, please ensure that you have registered by 9 November 2012 via

Skills Funding Agency ESF Funded Provision Opportunity

The Skills Funding Agency has announced that it will be issuing invitations to tender early December 2012 for the delivery of ESF (Priority 2) funded provision. The invitations to tender will be for the delivery of skills support for the workplace through Apprenticeships and related work place learning. Provision is expected to be delivered from April 2013 until July 2015. The Skills Funding Agency are working with the National Apprenticeship Service to develop an enhanced approach to the procurement of this provision to ensure that successful providers are best placed to address local skills needs.

NCG are interested in this opportunity and are looking for providers to register and become a pre-approved partner as part of our growing network. We anticipate that we may run mini competitions for pre-approved partners in December 2012 when the Skills Funding Agency release the tender documents. As such, please ensure that you have registered with us by 10 December 2012 via https://in-tendhost.co.uk/ncg/. Only those pre-approved partners will be eligible to take part in any mini-competitions to partner NCG.
